St. Olavs Hospital - Knowledge Centre

St. Olavs is a University Hospital located in Trondheim and is Norway's largest hospital development. Art plays a very important role in the different buildings as "visuelle vitaminer". The Knowledge Center building is equipped with Sergé pearl-white printed with a design by the artist Anne Aanerud. You can read an interview with her about the project here.

The Knowledge Center will be completed in autumn 2013 by building contractor Veidekke. It will be an important, and energy-efficient, building for research, education and patient care. The centre will house the hospital's largest auditorium (380 seats), main library and premises for research and education. The clinical part includes skin and infectious diseases, as well as a pain centre.

The entire hospital project will be completed in 2015. The new hospital will have a total area of 197.500 m2.  49,500 m2 will be used for university and teaching functions.
