A modern urban lounge

Rotunda - one of the most iconic buildings from the era of the Polish People's Republic (PRL) - was completely refurbished in 2018-2019. It is now a multifunctional space in the heart of Warsaw, open to all.

Hunter Douglas Polska supplied 42 large Guthrie Douglas TESS 100 tensioned systems and 42 roller blinds equipped with Panama Pro 5% white-grey fabric.

The new Rotunda building was designed to become a "modern urban lounge". It features a botanical garden with 17.000 plants. There are numerous touchscreens with information for the public in order to avoid paper brochures. Located in the centre of Rotunda is the PKO BP Bank.

The key words for the project were lightness, translucency, availability and transparancy. The building is said to be 17,7% more energy efficient than a reference building. Our Panama Pro 5% contributes to all of these features.
