Madou Tower

The first real test project

In 1965, Tour Madou, one of the first high-rise office buildings in Brussels, was Helioscreen's first test project. Two thousand screens, made with grey Sergé fabric were placed on the facades of the Madou Tower.

Helioscreen proved extremely effective

It was an instant success. The Helioscreen fabric proved to be extremely effective in controlling the effects of the sun's rays. The manual external roller shades stayed in service for 25 years, to be replaced in 1990 with motorized systems. The new Helioscreen solar shading with Sergé lasted until 2002 when the Madou tower underwent a mayor renovation.
